Medical Sponsorship
In Uganda, more than 50% of the population makes less than $41 per month.
Most Ugandans live hand-to-mouth, meaning what someone earns in a given day, is immediately spent on what they need to eat that night, with nothing left over. If you or one of your family members got sick, can you imagine how impossible it would feel having to decide between going to the doctors or eating food that night? In such dire circumstances of poverty, how could anyone put priority on their health when their children are sitting at home with hungry bellies? Hospitals in Uganda do not provide any treatment to patients until their medical bill is paid in full in advance.
We have seen countless children lose their lives because their parents lack the funds to take them to the doctors.
